For The Rest Of My Life (Part-2)

Part-2

‘Roll, camera, action’ Ashutosh says aloud and the shoot starts.

In this particular scene, I have to walk by the pool side where Eric is standing with some other models. As I cross him, he gets the whiff of fragrance I am wearing and he starts following me but before he reaches me I disappear in the crowd, leaving him in trance.

I tell you these out of the box ideas are really silly. I mean who follows a girl just because of her fragrance. But these advertisement experts… they present the concept with so much grace that people are bound to believe that it works.

I am not a newcomer in this acting field but today I am feeling little uneasy. Is it because of Eric? Every time I turn back my head to look at him I find him staring at me. He looks adorable. He has casted some magic spell on me.

Does he know black magic? I forget to walk.

‘Alisha, what’s wrong? You have to turn right.’ Ashutosh jolts me out of thoughts.

‘Eh.. sorry Ashu. Let’s do it once again.’ I say little miffed.

After multiple retakes, first day of shoot is over. I have come back to hotel completely exhausted. I try to take a short nap before dinner. I close my eyes. Eric’s face flashes in front of me. I instantly open my eyes. I am puzzled.

Gosh! What is this? Why am I thinking about him? I don’t even know him. What’s wrong with me?

My mind is inundated with questions.
Two hours have passed and his thoughts are looming greatly over my existence. To divert myself, I decide to go to dining hall cum lounge of the hotel. I think I need a drink.

Quickly, I head towards the lounge. It is bustled with crowd. Families, foreign tourists, teenager groups and some couples holding their hands cozily enjoying their evening with drinks and delectable Goan cuisines. A local music band ‘crescent moon’ is performing a soothing music track. Everyone seems so happy and content.

‘One red wine.’ I say to the bartender.

‘One whiskey on the rocks.’ I hear a pleasant male voice.

I revolve my chair ninety degrees to see where the voice is coming from. It’s Eric. I find him standing near me.

‘Hey pretty lady! Good to see you here. How are you doing?’ He initiates the conversation.

‘Hi.. I’m doing great. How are you?’ I reply trying my best to conceal my nervousness.

This boy has something. Whenever he is around, I feel tongue-tied.

‘I’m mesmerized by your beauty.’ He says with a big grin.

‘Oh! Someone is trying to flirt.’ I play along.

We continue our conversation over the sip of our drinks. We take our dinner together. He tells me how he came into modeling profession, when he got selected in a model hunt talent show, leaving his engineering course. He tells me he is a wanderer. He loves travelling and exploring. By now my nervousness is vanished. I’m feeling comfortable in his company. He makes me giggle every now and then with his one liners. He is a suave charmer. In his presence I forget where I am, why I am and who I am..?

Am I falling for him? Nah! That can’t be possible. It’s just infatuation. I can never fall in love with a stranger.

It’s midnight and our conversation isn’t coming to an end. I look at my wrist watch. He understands that I want to leave now. He escorts me to my room. He wishes me good night and hugs me sideways. Though it’s just a casual hug I feel a chill running down my spine. I also wish him good night and shut the door of my room.

                             ••••••••••••

Night has passed. Sun has appeared in the horizon spreading its warm rays over the waves of sea. I come out of room to take a walk alongside the beach. I can see many people jogging, walking, and sitting at the shore enjoying the serene beauty. I see a newlywed honeymoon couple walking at the shore making their foot prints on the sand. The girl’s hands are applied with beautiful heena design and adorned with red bangles. The guy says something in her ear. She blushes and he embraces her in her arms. How beautiful their life is.

I am feeling a bit lonely now. I am lost in my lonely world sauntering towards an unknown way.

To be continued...

Forever in love♥

After two weeks of cold war. Vidaan decided to break the ice. He dialed a well known number on his iPhone. A beautiful face flashed on his mobile screen.  The face he loved more than his life. His reason to live. He waited for the call to be received. "Hello." "Hey love. " "Why did you call me?" "I want to meet you. We need to talk." "No. There is nothing left to talk. " "Naina for the sake of our love please don't say no." After a pause "Okay " "I'll wait for you at the same place." "I'll be there by 7 p.m." "Thank you." Call was disconnected without any further reply. Vidaan glanced at watch. It struck 2:00 pm. "Still 5 hours in hand" he said to himself.  He called his secretary and instructed her to cancel all his meetings for the day. He immediately left office in his favorite SUV. He put on the music and it played "Dil ibadat kar

A Star Studded Night

Sitting under the star studded sky with you This feeling is so very special and new If I were a poet I would've described How it feels when you sit by my side ... Looking into my eyes when you say my name Hold my hand in yours, our eyes play game As your lips trace the path to my lips I can't control, the beat of my heart skips ... When your fingers wander aimlessly on my skin I give in to my senses, I don't care if it is a sin As the night advances to its glory The love marks on my skin tell a new story... The story tells about  the conquest of love and lust How the darkness take over and emotions burst How the two souls mingle into one How both struggle to win and loses none... The end of battle is so enthralling and lovely Its painful and pleasurable simultaneously I wish the night to last forever The moments are precious like a treasure... #KANYA

You Are Not Alone...

You’re Not Alone "The Castle"  written in big italic golden letters on the black graphite nameplate. How beautiful it looks. After so many prolonged discussions we’d decided this name for our newly built bungalow, two years back, before getting married. The memories of the day are still fresh when I came here after marriage. It was lavishly adorned with colorful flowers, illuminated with countless lights. Two years have bygone. It still looks marvelous. I close my eyes. Some images appear.  I’m wearing a red saree with matching golden blouse. My wrists are filled with red bangles. Intricate heena design is applied on my palms till my forearm. There are silver anklets in my legs. The tinkling sounds of bangles and my laughter are adding melody in the air. I’m running down the white marble stairs. He is running after me to catch me. He is just a few steps away. I turn back and tease him by waving his childhood pic, in which he is wearing a pink frock and hat. He
