A Promise: Fulfilled Yet Broken(Part-2)

PART-2
8th-December-2013
Moksh's Room
10:00 A.M.

Like everyday Moksh felt the vibrations of his cellphone through his pillow. He slid his hand in sleep, took it out and received the call with his eyes still closed.

"Good morning jaan..." He murmured in sleepy voice.

"Good morning shona.." Kriya wished him sweetly.

"I love you baby.."

"I love you more my lazy sweetheart. Get up Shona..." She teased him.

"No..come here I wanna hold you." He said cuddling his pillow close to him.

"Get up sweetheart it's already 10 A.M. Don't you have to go for meeting?" She reminded him.

"Umm yeah...but first give me a sweet kiss."

"Muahhh..." She kissed him over the call.

"Muahhh..." He kissed her back "..Babes this is okay only for now but I want real one in evening." He said while getting up.

"...in evening?" She asked him puzzled.

"Yes! We're meeting after my meeting." He reminded her what he said last evening.

"Shona..not today. I told you I have to go Jaipur today."

"I know you're coming." He ignored what Kriya has just said.

"...Are you crazy?"

"Yes I'm crazy for you my baby."

"Shona please understand I can't come today but I promise we'll celebrate when I'll come back from Jaipur." She was trying her best to convince him.

"..Okay fine don't come." There was sadness in his voice.

"Hey Shona please don't be sad I'll come." His emotional words worked perfectly on her.

"That's like my best Kriya...Love you. See you in evening."

"I love you more..Take care of yourself."

"You too Honey.."

And the call was disconnected.

Now Kriya was puzzled. She was wondering how she'll fulfill her promise. She couldn't cancel her plan to go Jaipur but what about the promise she made with Moksh. She couldn't let him down. A constant struggle initiated between her heart and her mind.

"Say no to Moksh." Her mind suggested.

"How can you let Moksh down? Her heart argued.

"What will you say to mom-dad?" Her mind questioned.

"How will you face Moksh if you didn't meet him today?" Her heart snapped back.

"Can't he understand that you are not able to meet him today?" Her mind sounded logical.

"Can't you understand how much he loves you?" Her heart tried to make logic in an irrational statement.

Her heart was against her own mind and she knew the mind easily gets convinced with the things the heart craves for. Finally she listened to her heart and she knew what she has to do to make things work.

3:00 P.M.
Kriya's Home

"Everything I do, I do it for you..." Kriya's cellphone played one of her favorite song set as ringtone on it. It flashed Moksh calling and her lips circled into a gentle curve. She picked up the call.

"Hey shona...” She spoke in her ever chirpy voice.

"Hi Honey...Missing you sooo much. Can’t wait to see you." Love and desperation to see Kriya was clear in his voice.

"Concentrate on your work silly boy."

"When I've such a gorgeous girlfriend how can I concentrate on my work?" He said in a naughty tone.

"You'll never change..." Kriya blushed.

"You want me to change? Let me change then...Muahhh."He kissed her.

"Stop it Moksh...Someone will see you." She said in a serious tone.

"I don't care. Let the whole world know I have the best girlfriend in this world. She is only mine and I love her more than anything." He said aloud. His excitement knew no bounds today.

"Ufff Moksh..You’re impossible. Now do your work and let me get ready." She tried to avoid any embarrassing situation at his work place.

"I'll be waiting for you my Princess." He softly uttered.

"Yes..." She replied shortly.

"Love you Honey."

"Love you more."

Kriya disconnected the call and got engaged in her work.

5:00 P.M.
Ganga Bairaj

Moksh drove to the spot where they both have to meet and stopped his Porsche at an isolated place from where he could watch the serene beauty of nature. It was a chilled winter evening. Sun was gathering its rays and cold winds were prevailing. He stood by the car and looked around. The sight and sound of water waves seemed ethereal from there. It was the same place where he proposed Kriya two years back.

Today once again he was standing at the same place waiting for the love of his life. He took a deep breath and his wandering thoughts dragged him back into the past, into the memories of Kriya. He felt nostalgic. He closed his eyes and every moment he spent with Kriya flashed in front of his eyes.

He still remembered the day when Cupid hit his heart with the arrow of love. Moksh was tall, handsome and had an athletic physique. He had sharp features and a perfectly carved, chiseled face. Every girl of the college had crush on him but he was moved by none until he met Kriya in a college fest.

The beauty of Kriya casted some mesmerizing spell on him at the very first sight. Her eyes were so appealing...the appeal of sweeping him off his feet, embrace her into his arms and never let her go. There was an instant bonding between them.

As time passed by Moksh and Kriya became best friends. They seemed to spend most of their time in each other’s company. They enjoyed being together. The growth of intimacy was unnoticed in both the hearts.
One fine day Moksh gathered all his courage and professed his love for her to which Kriya agreed gleefully. It felt as if God fulfilled all his wishes. He was on cloud 9.

He was lost in his thoughts when a gush of strong wind broke the chain of his thoughts and brought him back to the reality. He looked at the time. I was 5:30 P.M. He looked around. Silence was prevailing everywhere.

"Where are you Kriya?" He whispered in himself.

Forever in love♥

After two weeks of cold war. Vidaan decided to break the ice. He dialed a well known number on his iPhone. A beautiful face flashed on his mobile screen.  The face he loved more than his life. His reason to live. He waited for the call to be received. "Hello." "Hey love. " "Why did you call me?" "I want to meet you. We need to talk." "No. There is nothing left to talk. " "Naina for the sake of our love please don't say no." After a pause "Okay " "I'll wait for you at the same place." "I'll be there by 7 p.m." "Thank you." Call was disconnected without any further reply. Vidaan glanced at watch. It struck 2:00 pm. "Still 5 hours in hand" he said to himself.  He called his secretary and instructed her to cancel all his meetings for the day. He immediately left office in his favorite SUV. He put on the music and it played "Dil ibadat kar

A Star Studded Night

Sitting under the star studded sky with you This feeling is so very special and new If I were a poet I would've described How it feels when you sit by my side ... Looking into my eyes when you say my name Hold my hand in yours, our eyes play game As your lips trace the path to my lips I can't control, the beat of my heart skips ... When your fingers wander aimlessly on my skin I give in to my senses, I don't care if it is a sin As the night advances to its glory The love marks on my skin tell a new story... The story tells about  the conquest of love and lust How the darkness take over and emotions burst How the two souls mingle into one How both struggle to win and loses none... The end of battle is so enthralling and lovely Its painful and pleasurable simultaneously I wish the night to last forever The moments are precious like a treasure... #KANYA

You Are Not Alone...

You’re Not Alone "The Castle"  written in big italic golden letters on the black graphite nameplate. How beautiful it looks. After so many prolonged discussions we’d decided this name for our newly built bungalow, two years back, before getting married. The memories of the day are still fresh when I came here after marriage. It was lavishly adorned with colorful flowers, illuminated with countless lights. Two years have bygone. It still looks marvelous. I close my eyes. Some images appear.  I’m wearing a red saree with matching golden blouse. My wrists are filled with red bangles. Intricate heena design is applied on my palms till my forearm. There are silver anklets in my legs. The tinkling sounds of bangles and my laughter are adding melody in the air. I’m running down the white marble stairs. He is running after me to catch me. He is just a few steps away. I turn back and tease him by waving his childhood pic, in which he is wearing a pink frock and hat. He
