A Promise: Fulfilled Yet Broken (Part-3)

Part-3

Time was running like the waves of water. He tried to call Kriya but her number was not reachable. By now sun was set and crescent moon had taken its place. His hopes were dying. His patience level reached to its zenith and he finally decided to leave in foul mood.

He stood up to leave just then his gaze fall upon a girl sauntering towards him but the face was not clearly visible as her hairs were playing with her cheeks and not allowing him to have a proper view of her face. Soon she was standing in front of him. She cleared the falling strands from her face gently and it was Kriya.

He was shocked to see her. His Kriya was standing in front of him in an elegant white attire. Her face glowing in the moonlight, her long dense hairs flowing in the crisp air, her dazzling earrings hanging down to her ears, her kohl lined deep black eyes, her rosy pink lips and the waving white dupatta… Moksh was mesmerized. She was looking like an Angel landed from paradise onto earth just for him. He was unable to believe on his eyes. He was totally stunned. He tried to speak but words fail to escape his lips.

"Moksh…” Kriya broke the eerie silence and Moksh instantly regained his senses.

“Where were you Kriya?” He uttered and hugged Kriya in his arms tightly.

"You don’t know how much I missed you. I thought you’ll break your promise.” He poured his heart to her without taking even a moment to breathe.

"I love you Moksh. How could I break my promise? You’re my ultimate destination.” She hugged him tighter.

'You’re looking breathtakingly gorgeous today.” He said while kissing her forehead.

"Thank you...” She replied with a smile.

“I love you so much Kriya.” He softly uttered and his lips moulded against hers.

Kriya closed her eyes and surrendered herself in his arms. Moksh tightened his arms around her waist and pulled her into himself, deepening the kiss, pouring every single drop of his love into her. He had been craving for it from so long. He didn’t want to let go this moment. He wanted more so before she had a chance to pull herself apart his grip grew tighter on her and the kiss grew deeper. He continued his hold onto her lips until they both simultaneously pulled back.

Kriya hid her face in his chest, finding all the solace, all the warmth she ever wanted to feel. She could hear his heart beating in an irregular pace. She wanted to say so many things but she preferred silence and some tears escaped from her beautiful eyes. As Moksh felt her tears he cupped her face in his hands and leaned his face on her once again and caressed her until she felt relieved.

“Moksh, I have to go.” She whispered resting her head on his shoulder.

"I’m not letting you go anywhere.” He said embracing her close to his heart.

“I’ve to go Moksh, my parents are waiting for me.” She said politely.

"Hey Kriya I’ve a surprise for you.” Moksh said with excitement.

He unlocked her from his grip,  quickly opened the door of the car and took out his guitar.

“You always  wanted me to sing for you nah?”

Kriya nodded.

Kriya took place nearby and Moksh sat in front of her taking guitar in his hands. His fingers played on the strings of guitar and he sang along one of her favourite song-

"Would you dance,
If I asked you to dance?
Would you run,
And never look back?
Would you cry?
If you saw me crying?
And would you save my soul tonight?

Would you tremble,
If I touched your lips?
Would you laugh?
Oh please tell me this.
Now would you die,
For the one you love?
Hold me in your arms, tonight.

I can be your hero baby.
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

Would you swear,
That you’ll always be mine?
Or would you lie?
Would you run and hide?
Am I in too deep?
Have I lost my mind?
I don’t care…
You’re here tonight.”

The moment his fingers stopped moving on the guitar. Kriya’s face lit up with a big smile and her smile elevated immense happiness in Moksh’s eyes.

'It was amazing. Thank you so much.” She said joyfully.

"Anything for your smile Honey.” He said and leaned his head on Kriya’s lap and looked into her eyes.

She kissed gently on his forehead.

"Where is my anniversary gift?” she asked.

"Tell me what do you want my Princess.” He replied.

“A Promise…” She mumbled.

"Anything you say Honey…” He said.

"Promise me you’ll always take care of yourself and you’ll never be sad for any reason.”

“Why would I care for myself? You are here to do this and my happiness lie on your lips”

"Can’t you do a simple promise to me?” There was sadness in her voice.

"Umm…okay I promise.” He didn’t want to see her sad for any reason.

“Now I have to go Moksh.” She said fumbling with words.

"Please don’t go Kriya.” He got up from her lap.

"I can’t stay with you any longer. My parents are waiting for me.”

"I won’t let you go anywhere.” Moksh was adamant.

"I’ve to go. Don’t stop me.” She stood up from her place.

"I’m not letting you go anywhere.” Moksh too stood up and held Kriya by her arms.

"Please Moksh…”

Moksh pulled her closer and ran fingers on her face.

“You really want to go?” He whispered in her ears and held her closely.

“Yes Moksh…I have to go.” She too hugged him as tighter as she could.

Moksh pulled her more closer and kissed her cheeks.

“You still want to go?” He again whispered.

“Yes Moksh.. I have to go. My parents are waiting for me.” She said in a stern voice and freed herself from his embrace.

Moksh was taken aback by the sudden change in her behavior. He had never seen Kriya reacting in such weird way. She was saying she wanted to go but her eyes were telling a different story. He moved forward and clutched her arms tightly.

“Do you really want to go Kriya?”

“Yes Moksh... I have to go but your love is not letting me go.” She replied curtly and pushed him away.

Moksh could not believe whatever was happening is true or he is in some dream. Tears appeared in his eyes but it seemed Kriya didn’t care. He remained silent for a moment and tried to read Kriya’s face but her face was still expressionless

“Then go.” His wet eyes were now filled with anger and pain at the same time.

Kriya smiled briefly, though her eyes were sad.

“ Always take care of yourself Moksh. I love you.” She said. Her voice was dipped with love.

"You too… ” He calmly replied.

After one last loving look, Kriya turned back and moved. Moksh watched her go. He helplessly kept looking at her expecting Kriya to return and hug him tightly, telling him it was some prank and she is not going anywhere. But Kriya didn’t turn back. Moksh wanted to run and stop her but her legs didn’t move. He watched her go until she was disappeared from his sight.

To be continued….

Forever in love♥

After two weeks of cold war. Vidaan decided to break the ice. He dialed a well known number on his iPhone. A beautiful face flashed on his mobile screen.  The face he loved more than his life. His reason to live. He waited for the call to be received. "Hello." "Hey love. " "Why did you call me?" "I want to meet you. We need to talk." "No. There is nothing left to talk. " "Naina for the sake of our love please don't say no." After a pause "Okay " "I'll wait for you at the same place." "I'll be there by 7 p.m." "Thank you." Call was disconnected without any further reply. Vidaan glanced at watch. It struck 2:00 pm. "Still 5 hours in hand" he said to himself.  He called his secretary and instructed her to cancel all his meetings for the day. He immediately left office in his favorite SUV. He put on the music and it played "Dil ibadat kar

A Star Studded Night

Sitting under the star studded sky with you This feeling is so very special and new If I were a poet I would've described How it feels when you sit by my side ... Looking into my eyes when you say my name Hold my hand in yours, our eyes play game As your lips trace the path to my lips I can't control, the beat of my heart skips ... When your fingers wander aimlessly on my skin I give in to my senses, I don't care if it is a sin As the night advances to its glory The love marks on my skin tell a new story... The story tells about  the conquest of love and lust How the darkness take over and emotions burst How the two souls mingle into one How both struggle to win and loses none... The end of battle is so enthralling and lovely Its painful and pleasurable simultaneously I wish the night to last forever The moments are precious like a treasure... #KANYA

You Are Not Alone...

You’re Not Alone "The Castle"  written in big italic golden letters on the black graphite nameplate. How beautiful it looks. After so many prolonged discussions we’d decided this name for our newly built bungalow, two years back, before getting married. The memories of the day are still fresh when I came here after marriage. It was lavishly adorned with colorful flowers, illuminated with countless lights. Two years have bygone. It still looks marvelous. I close my eyes. Some images appear.  I’m wearing a red saree with matching golden blouse. My wrists are filled with red bangles. Intricate heena design is applied on my palms till my forearm. There are silver anklets in my legs. The tinkling sounds of bangles and my laughter are adding melody in the air. I’m running down the white marble stairs. He is running after me to catch me. He is just a few steps away. I turn back and tease him by waving his childhood pic, in which he is wearing a pink frock and hat. He
