Stop The Shame ...

School is known as ‘Temple of education’ from ancient times and teachers are considered as God in India. But are they able to maintain their dignity in present too?

A dead body of an employee of the PGI Hospital, Lucknow was found inside a government-run school premises at Bahadurkheda village, in Lucknow. Reports say she was sexually assaulted and brutally beaten with some blunt object. She was dead due to excessive bleeding. In another shameful event a six year innocent girl of class 1 was gang raped by her gym instructor and dance teacher within the school premises of a well known school of Bangalore in broad daylight.

Isn’t it shameful? Where the Indian culture is going? What excuse would you give for this? She was not wearing proper clothes? She was roaming with the wrong guys? Or she provoked the person to rape herself? It’s India, where the rapist is never at fault, it’s only the victim who is responsible for such brutal  act.

Statistics show that rape is the fastest growing crime in the country today. According to NCRB data 93 women are being raped in India every day. Over the last few months cases of rapes and assaults have made it to the headlines with alarming frequency. Girls are not safe in any part of the country. Is India becoming the Rape Capital of the world?

We all know that as a category in criminal law rape is one of the most heinous offences against society and public morality. While a murderer destroys the physical frame of the victim, a rapist degrades and defiles the soul of the helpless female.

Whenever such incidents take place media highlights it as the most important news, ministers and officers start giving statements to gain cheap publicity ensuring safety. Investigation committees are made and after some time a new bill of safety and protection is passed in parliament to ensure no such incident happen in future.

Our police department, due to its weakness and corrupted minds fail to rescue them. This is because of weak laws against rape cases in India, which sentences only 7-14 years of jail. How many rape cases happen in Arab nations? Hardly once in a blue moon only because their punishments are so strict that people think a thousand times before doing these crimes. If these laws are generated in India too, such crimes will stop in India.

The government must ensure that police register every case reported to it, complete the investigation in stipulated time and provide protection to the victim. An act of sexual assault should be treated on par with murder. There should be only death penalty for the rape accused. Only then these cases will come to an end.

Forever in love♥

After two weeks of cold war. Vidaan decided to break the ice. He dialed a well known number on his iPhone. A beautiful face flashed on his mobile screen.  The face he loved more than his life. His reason to live. He waited for the call to be received. "Hello." "Hey love. " "Why did you call me?" "I want to meet you. We need to talk." "No. There is nothing left to talk. " "Naina for the sake of our love please don't say no." After a pause "Okay " "I'll wait for you at the same place." "I'll be there by 7 p.m." "Thank you." Call was disconnected without any further reply. Vidaan glanced at watch. It struck 2:00 pm. "Still 5 hours in hand" he said to himself.  He called his secretary and instructed her to cancel all his meetings for the day. He immediately left office in his favorite SUV. He put on the music and it played "Dil ibadat kar...

A Stronger Version Of ME

I don't know from where to start Or what to say... You were the one I wanted forever to stay.. You used to make me smile.. With you I dreamed to live a fairy tale life.. You promised that you will always stay by my side.. I believed you..blindly I was in love with you..wholeheartedly Had you said, I would've given up everything But.. you decided to leave.. Without giving me a reason.. You always said you couldn't see tears in my eyes So had you closed your eyes when you left me in tears? With your silent departure, my smiles too left me.. Tears, sobs and memories are the one who accompany me.. What was my mistake I asked to God in pain.. No reply came.. my all prayers went in vain.. Days turned to months and months to years.. I endured the pain I never deserved to bear.. You never cared to come and see how I am.. Expecting you to come and hug me was lame.. Slowly and steadily I learnt to live without you.. Scars were too many, smiles were few.. I mad...

Coffee Break Turned Into Coffee Date

It was a hectic day for me. Now it was midnight and my work was still not over. I was in so much tension. I had to submit an important report the next morning and I was feeling dizzy.I really needed a cup of hot coffee to awaken my mind. I looked at him but he was also busy in his work, gazing intently at his laptop screen as if its his only world where I don't exist. He is a workoholic. Sometimes I wonder whether he loves me more or his work. Gosh! What am I thinking about? I need to concentrate on my report. Unwillingly I started working again. Hardly 10 minutes had passed when he called out my name. 'Kanya' 'Yes...' I replied without looking at him. 'Can you please get me a cup of coffee. I am feeling tired and this presentation is really important for me. I have to complete it anyhow tonight.' He said in low voice. I could feel the tiredness in his voice but can't he see I am also working. 'I am working on an important report dear. Can you p...
