Coffee Break Turned Into Coffee Date

It was a hectic day for me. Now it was midnight and my work was still not over. I was in so much tension. I had to submit an important report the next morning and I was feeling dizzy.I really needed a cup of hot coffee to awaken my mind. I looked at him but he was also busy in his work, gazing intently at his laptop screen as if its his only world where I don't exist. He is a workoholic. Sometimes I wonder whether he loves me more or his work. Gosh! What am I thinking about? I need to concentrate on my report. Unwillingly I started working again. Hardly 10 minutes had passed when he called out my name.

'Kanya'
'Yes...' I replied without looking at him.
'Can you please get me a cup of coffee. I am feeling tired and this presentation is really important for me. I have to complete it anyhow tonight.' He said in low voice.
I could feel the tiredness in his voice but can't he see I am also working.
'I am working on an important report dear. Can you please make it yourself?' I asked him.
'Baby please make it.. I am really so tired today.' His answer came.
I knew there was no point in arguing at that moment and moreover I also needed a short coffee break, so I said ok.

I kept all the files on the table carefully and walked to the kitchen.
As I started making coffee, his voice came again.
'Baby get some cookies also. I am feeling hungry.'

'Yeah sure.' I said, a bit frustated.

I opened the cupboard and found that the cookies jar was empty. There was nothing else to eat. I thought to cook maggi for him. I poured milk in the coffee and started looking for maggi. It was kept in an upward shelf. I raised my hand to take it but could not reach. Suddenly I felt two hands grabbing my waist and lifted me up. I looked back. It was he, smiling. I smiled back and took out maggi from cupboard. He gently put me down.

'Thank you.' I said.

'Lets cook together.' He said.

'But you don't know how to cook...right?' I said, puzzled.

'Mmm yeah I don't know to cook but I can help you.' He said.

'Thank you but you go and sit back I'll cook myself. It will take only 5 minutes.' I was feeling glad that he at least tried to help me.

'Ok as you say...' he said and went back to room.

I took out a pan and got busy in cooking maggi. I was stirring maggi and thinking how will I finish my report. I was lost in my own thoughts. My chain of thoughts was broken when I found myself in a muscular tight grip from behind. I was surprised to see him back.

'What are you doing here again?' I asked.
'I never went' He said, dugging his face on my shoulder.
'Then what were you doing?' I asked, a little surprised.
'I was watching you cooking.' He said, smelling my hairs.
'Lemme cook maggi for you.' I said, trying to push him. But his grip was too strong.
'I didn't stop you.' He said, taking my left hand and kissing my fingers.
'Don't disturb me while cooking.' I said, getting angry.
His fingers trailed to my waist and tickled, making me giggle.
I was not getting what was happening. He never behaved this romantically ever.
'What are you doing?' I asked, making an angry face.
'I am just loving my Princess.' He said as he turned me to face him.
I looked at him. His lips curved into a naughty smile.
He pulled me closer and leaned towards me. His lips touched mine and everything else disappeared from my sight. As his fingers ran through my skin, the kiss deepened. It felt magical. I was losing my senses when something fell on the kitchen floor and the sound brought both of us back into senses. I shivered and opened my eyes. My breaths were uneven. His grip loosened. But he didn't let me go.
'Maggi is getting cold.' I said in a shaking voice.
He left me and smiled.
He moved aside and poured coffee in a coffee mug and served maggi on the plate.
I was standing still.
I was wondering what he was upto.
He placed them on the kitchen slab.
I was watching him silently, mesmerized.
He sat on the same slab and made me sit on his lap.
He looked into my eyes and fed me maggi with his own hands.
'Eat only half bite.' He said.
'Why?' I asked and ate only half bite.
'Because you are my better half.' He answered, eating the remaining half bite.
I laughed at his answer.
'Baby I may not know how to cook but I know how to feed my Princess with love ' He said and kissed my cheek.
'I love you.' I said and kissed his back on his cheek.
'I love you too my baby.' He said, tucking the fallen strands of hair behind my ear.
We gazed at each other with love.
His finger ran through my forehead to my lips. I bit it softly.
'Oouch...' He shieked.
'What happened?' I asked.
'Nothing.' He said, smiling.
'You are stupid.' I retorted.
'I am yours.' He said, kissing on my neck.
'You are mad.' I said.
'Only for you.' He replied.
I pulled his cheeks.
He took my hand in his hand and kissed it.
'Wanna have cold coffee with me?' He asked.
'Sure...' I said.
He made me drink coffee and drank himself from the same mug. We took sips in turns.
We ate cold maggi and had cold coffee in the same manner. Although they were cold, they tasted delicious from his hands.
'Thank you so much.' I said to him resting my head on his shoulder.
'Thanx to you baby for being with me in my every up and down.' He said, caressing my face.
I don't remember when I dozed off.
In the morning I woke up in my bed, feeling kiss on my forehead.
'Good morning my princess.' He said.
'Good morning love.' I replied, holding him tight.  He hugged me even more tighter. I closed my eyes again and the events of last night flashed in my mind.
It was the best night ever.
I don't want to open my eyes. I want to live these moments forever.
The coffee break turned into coffee date.

Forever in love♥

After two weeks of cold war. Vidaan decided to break the ice. He dialed a well known number on his iPhone. A beautiful face flashed on his mobile screen.  The face he loved more than his life. His reason to live. He waited for the call to be received. "Hello." "Hey love. " "Why did you call me?" "I want to meet you. We need to talk." "No. There is nothing left to talk. " "Naina for the sake of our love please don't say no." After a pause "Okay " "I'll wait for you at the same place." "I'll be there by 7 p.m." "Thank you." Call was disconnected without any further reply. Vidaan glanced at watch. It struck 2:00 pm. "Still 5 hours in hand" he said to himself.  He called his secretary and instructed her to cancel all his meetings for the day. He immediately left office in his favorite SUV. He put on the music and it played "Dil ibadat kar

You Are Not Alone...

You’re Not Alone "The Castle"  written in big italic golden letters on the black graphite nameplate. How beautiful it looks. After so many prolonged discussions we’d decided this name for our newly built bungalow, two years back, before getting married. The memories of the day are still fresh when I came here after marriage. It was lavishly adorned with colorful flowers, illuminated with countless lights. Two years have bygone. It still looks marvelous. I close my eyes. Some images appear.  I’m wearing a red saree with matching golden blouse. My wrists are filled with red bangles. Intricate heena design is applied on my palms till my forearm. There are silver anklets in my legs. The tinkling sounds of bangles and my laughter are adding melody in the air. I’m running down the white marble stairs. He is running after me to catch me. He is just a few steps away. I turn back and tease him by waving his childhood pic, in which he is wearing a pink frock and hat. He
